Complimentary written insurance appraisals are available for any jewelry purchases made at Ronnie’s Jewelry and Loans. We offer updated appraisals, a small fee may apply. We offer free verbal appraisals on the value or authenticity of items. We do charge a reasonable fee for insurance appraisals done on merchandise purchased at other establishments. A written appraisal is a document that includes a detailed description of an item, a picture of the piece, and a retail replacement value for that item. The appraisal will identify the cut, color, clarity, and carat weight of diamonds. Colored gemstone's dimensions are measured by millimeters, the metal weight and carat weight are also included. Your written appraisal is all you will need for your insurance agency to calculate your coverage rates for your diamonds or fine jewelry.
